Give Holiday Cards that Help Fight Childhood Cancer

The holidays are a time for sending special greeting cards out to those we know and love. Often searching for the perfect card involves hours of looking online for e-cards, browsing the aisles at your favorite card shop, or creating a photo card with pictures of you and your family.
But what if you could help children fighting cancer with your holiday cards this year?
You can, thanks to the work of Children's Cancer Connection, a local non-profit charity devoted to enhancing the quality of life for kids and their families impacted by childhood cancer. The organization sells boxes of holiday cards with designs drawn by children with cancer or their siblings to help raise funds for the organization's work. And the card designs are charming. From penguins sledding down a winter hill, to sweet snowman with top hats and red scarves, blue and green snowflakes filling the air, festively-drawn ornaments hanging on the tree, a red mug with steaming hot chocolate, and beautiful Christmas trees with glowing lights, these delightful designs are sure to bring the joy of the season to every recipient's heart.
The organization's boxes of holiday cards and envelopes come in sets of 24 (three cards each of eight designs) for $15.00 plus shipping and handling. You can also order single design packages, a larger number of cards, or cards for your business complete with free imprinting.
To order go to www.childrenscancerconnection.org.
While you're there you can learn about the organization's many activities including summer camps for children with cancer and their siblings, event outings, hospital-based programs, and weekend retreats — all provided at no cost to families because of such strong support throughout the Iowa community.
You can also find the organization on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/ChildrensCancerConnection.
